The way to avoid enemies is to jump over them, or to duck and jump at the same time, in order to do a spin attack to destroy them. Those enemies just spin Sam around for a little while. The enemies which do NOT cause Sam to lose a life are water-based enemies, like geysers, whirlpools and steam. The game itself has 100 levels, and they are all very similar. If you duck and jump at the same time, Sam does a spin attack. With the joystick, move it left or right to make same go left and right. With the keyboard, move the left and right buttons to make Sam go left and right. Make him duck by moving the mouse downwards. Make Sam jump by clicking one of the mouse buttons.
